API Foilmakers is a European manufacturer of hot stamping foils and cold stamping foils (metallic and pigment) based in the UK.
The company was founded in London in 1783 and has been making print media, products and packaging for over 200 years!
We are a UK manufacturer with wholly owned sales, service, stock and distribution companies strategically placed across Europe and an Export department with global reach based in Scotland. We also work world-wide with some selected distribution partners.
We have some world leading stamping foil products, a wide range of colours and a flexible service. By getting to know our customers our aim is always to offer the best overall service and a solution for every need.
We are a brand new company with new energy, ideas and direction but a pedigree of knowledge that has created a lasting impression since 1783.

The heart of our business is in Scotland where we manufacture all of our stamping foil. We have been on this site since moving from London in 1975. We also have stock, a full converting operation and global logistics capability.

Our team is located near Milan in the North of Italy. We started on this site more than 12 years ago and have substantial foil stocks and a converting team to cut the foil to our customers’ specification.

For more than 8 years, our team has been located in Warsaw. This has proved to be the ideal location for distributing to both West or East. Foil stocks are substantial and the converting team cut the foil to our customers’ required specification.

Our new service centre in Barcelona was opened in March 2021, with an experienced team led by Joaquin Romero who has been with API for many years.
